We will review the changes for 2019 and give those who desire an opportunity to fill out their tax forms. The new tax act, with the elimination of exemptions and increase in the standard deduction, will allow most people to file a 1040 short for this year. Those wishing to prepare their taxes, should bring all documents received (W-2, 1099 etc.) Tax booklets and forms are available at the library and post office. Contact Jack Langfeldt for questions at email@example.com.
We will meet together to pray, and share plans for the future!
We would like your participation at this special meeting of the SMLC Voters’ Assembly. Everyone is invited to attend, and members of SMLC 18 years of age and older may vote. During this meeting, we will be presenting a candidate to call as our full-time Director of Christian Education and also discuss candidates for the president of our synod. Please keep this special meeting and the future staffing of SMLC in your prayers as we do our best to help families form a firm foundation of faith in Jesus!
The St. Mark Middle & High School Youth Group will have our first gathering of the year on Wednesday, November 7 at 6:30 p.m. The Youth Group will meet Wednesdays from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. from November 7 through May 22, with breaks for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Spring Break.
All students from 6th – 12th grade are invited to attend. St. Mark Youth Group is the place for young people! Together, we’ll build a place to gather, form friendships, and have fun. And most importantly, a place to discover and build a personal relationship with Jesus and learn how faith intersects with everyday life.
